Buoyancy control is an essential skill in scuba diving. It lets you move effortlessly underwater, improve your air consumption and protect the underwater environment. Achieving neutral buoyancy is not as easy as it seems, which is why divers who have mastered the skill stand apart from others.
In the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you’ll learn important skills that will make you a better, more advanced scuba diver. You’ll learn how to determine the exact weight you need, trim your weight and scuba gear so you’re perfectly balanced, streamline, use air more efficiently, move more smoothly and hover effortlessly in any position.
PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers or higher, who are at least 10 years old, are eligible to take the Peak Performance Buoyancy course.

Determine how much weight you need and where to place trim weights to streamline your body position. During two dives you’ll fine-tune your weighting during buoyancy checks and master neutral buoyancy with inwater practice.
